Tunnel reinforcement
kr48.00
Most Fjordling 17s are built with a water tunnel.
Originally, the tunnel is fastened with Helicoil, which is a thread shaped like a metal spiral. This design has some weaknesses which cause water to enter into the double bottom. The consequence is that the boats become heavy and eventually will the wood in the floor rots. Our own design provides a tight and strong design that eliminates the problem.
Boats usually have 81-101 screws. Check how many your boat has!
Follow the assembly instructions carefully.
NOTE: You must not cut or make the sheet smaller.

Additional information
The reinforcements are made of stainless steel (A4) and the size is 30×50 mm.
They are glued to the inside of the bottom and the original screws are replaced with longer M6, stainless steel. Screws are not included.
The advantages are that the boat will get a watertight hull and you can also dismantle the tunnel later if necessary, even after installing a new floor in the boat.
The number of screws differs between model years, so check how many screws your boat has.
Clear assembly instructions are included. Please read them carefully and follow them.
NOTE: If the entire tunnel is removed, it is important that it is also glued back into the boat when reassembling.
Also take the opportunity to make the tunnel itself stronger, so that it can better withstand the stresses.
